Photos: Viewing Quincy
Viewing Quincy Using Google Maps & Bing Maps
The following sections provide basic instructions for utilizing these two methods to view Quincy from afar using these competing products from Google and Microsoft.
In addition to the standard satellite and street maps, Google Maps also has a feature called 'Street View' which allows you to see street level views. This feature works only for the cities & towns that have been so photographed. Street View is available for virtually all of Quincy.
These photos are made using special cameras mounted atop cars that drive up and down the streets [as pictured below left]. Below right is a screen shot taken while viewing East Squantum Street using Google's Street View.
If you have time to kill, you can go up and down every street in Quincy!
While Bing provides a feature like Google's Street View called 'Street Side', Quincy has not as yet been photographed by Bing. However, Bing does offer great 'Bird's Eye' views which provide a different perspective, such as the screen shot shown below. These photos are made by low-flying aircraft.
You can fly all over Quincy using Bing!

When the photograph of the street appears, use the compass at the top left to rotate. Use the arrows on the street to move up and down the street.
You can make the image even bigger by clicking on the full-screen icon at the top right of the image. Click again to bring the search box back.
